What’s Up Wednesday

ButtonSmallNoBorderWhat’s Up Wednesday is a weekly meme, started by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk, which helps readers and writers touch base with blog friends to let them know what’s up. Join in by visiting their blogs and signing in on the widget.

Reading: Currently, I’m reading All Fall Down by Julie Coulter Bellon in prep for the Indie-Credible Event celebrating Indie Authors. My part in this will begin Sept. 11 here and conclude on the 13. There’ll be a give away and lots of interesting information on the author, her books, and writing, of course. A hint? I just started her book…and I’m loving it!

Writing: I rewrote the climax to the YA. I’m letting it sit for a few days, and I’ll review it again. Total chapter count for the week was 14. Yeehaw!!! Back on track.

Next Week: August 28- September 3

With the final revisions made, I want a final read through before sending it off. Phew. Deep breaths. Next thing on the agenda? Revisions of the adult thriller and that second YA waiting in the wings.

ready set write buttonReady. Set. Write. is officially coming to an end and the hosts are ending it with a bang! They’re giving away “fresh perspectives” (aka critiques) to FIVE lucky participants’ first ten pages. Each host will review one set of ten pages and offer a fresh set of eyes, thoughts and suggestions on your work. Hop on over to one of their blogs to enter.

Thanks to Alison, Katy, Jaime, Erin, Elodie so much for hosting and organizing this event!

  1. Thanks for joining us, Dawn! It’s been so much fun to write with everyone, and get to know new people through their blogs. Best of luck with your writing goals this week… I’m looking forward to checking back in. 🙂
